Both the author and the reviewer made several good points about the unitary executive. I especially like the idea that the it increases accountability even as it intends to heighten efficiency, and that of course is thwarted by secretive advancement of radical ideology, unchecked and untenable. It would be nothing short of wonderful to have a President willing to accept popular praise or criticism for his actions. The idea that someone in a position of such power could consistently eschew responsibility is as disturbing as it is absurd in an even remotely democratic system.
